The Photography of Tobias Zeising

Delicate precision and light, this is what first draws you in. Then his subject matter traps you, and you are forever enchanted by this young man’s eye.

I found Zeising’s website quite by accident, out scouting for a script on another website which had a link to it. And I was hooked. The nature photography is absolutely spiritual to experience. The Expressive gallery is stimulates thought and curiosity. The Macros excite the eye and mind, and Architecture provides an almost counter-dimensional view of our world.

I admire the mind that perceives in the manner of Zeising. It both symbolizes and literalizes reality, bringing to it a surreal distinction that allows the soul to drink meaning and significance.

Says Tobias: “Photography has been a hobby of mine for over five years. I love it to capture nature and the strong spirit of the moment.”

Dramatic, dynamic, explosive are three words which came to mind seeing this young graphic designer’s work. Utilizing photographic subjects, digital effects, and a dynamic vision, his work has a powerful effect on the viewer.

Back from Vacation, and Art Reviews Start Again Tomorrow

The Art of Lia Chechelashvili

Georgian artist Lia Chechelashvili’s minimalist art is her signature in my opinion. These works will stand the test of time in their modern expression of movement in contemporary intimate human relationships with other people, with activities, with objects.

Simplicity speaks volumes in these works, potently emotive and vigorously insightful. The viewer feels the movement, the very air and potency of the moment. As if a voyeur, one watches subtle interplays, imagined in the mind by suggestion in each arc and vector, each fabulously conceived line and curve.

Marvelous. I can see these…feel these wonderful works gracing the halls a music school, a dance school, a wonderfully intimate social lounge, the hallowed halls of a respected university…and my own music room. Can’t you feel them, too?

Andrew Gibson’s Magical Places, fine art photography

Magical Places — that’s Andrew Gibson’s website where his photography takes you on a worldwide tour, from Norway to Uruguay, From Central Park, NY, USA, to Scotland’s coast and beyond.

Magical? Yes. But also achingly real, quietly penetrating your eye and mind to make you feel as if you’re there, transported out of time to still-point moment.

The Art of Shoshanna Bauer, Fine Artist

Shoshanna Bauer is, by my definition, a fine artist. She paints first and foremost from inspiration, from the soul, from the Self. Free and completely clear of self-imposed restriction, she exemplifies what I find precious and wonderful in the undiscovered fine artist — unaffected purity of expression.

Phoenix is glorious. Black Turtle is extraordinary. Tiger Spirit holds a true essence of the cat. Damsel Fish is exquisite….

I could name them all, speaking well of each, but I won’t. I need not say more, because nothing more needs saying. The art speaks for itself.

The Sculpture of Erika Takacs

The stuff of dreams and nightmares. The substance of real expressing surreal — pervasively touching, tangibly effectual. That’s Erika’s sculpture work.

She works in clay — wet, gooey, squishy, primitively sensuous.

And paper mache — wet, gooey, squishy…pulpily primal.

Her sculpts have meaning. Significance delivered straight from the breast of the id — love, fear, fun, gristle.

They have emotion – love, fear, fun, gristle.

They demand you to reach …reach …touch.

But you can’t. Here, they are only pictures. Pictures of what is.

Can have?

Oh, yes.
