Daniel Kazor has been involved with photography for more then twenty years. However, until recently his main creative outlets had been through painting and drawing, always endeavoring to improve skills where possible. Working mostly with water colour or pastels, Daniel liked the immediacy of the medias; He then could progress quickly to a finished work. This desire for rapid results made photography an appealing media to explore, however the lag between taking a photo and seeing the developed results was frustrating and hampered the process of artistic experimentation. Digital photography changed this and makes it possible to realize immediate results and creatively exploit the shadows and the colours of his subjects in pursuit of the allusive… the captivating images from daily life.

Preferring landscape and still life as subject Daniel enjoys the challenge of finding the intrigue and the splendor in otherwise ordinary scenes or objects. Landscapes give an opportunity to capture the majestic beauty of the earth we live on.

Daniel is a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA) and had the image “Boats on Peggy’s Cove” featured as photo of the month in September 2006 at www.capacanada.com.
