Lake Sunset - A Tranquil Place
by Tim Stringer
A couple of years ago my partner and I took a trip to Florida. There were two highlights to the trip; one being visiting NASA and the other a snapshot that I took of the lake behind the hotel. From that snapshot came Lake Sunset.
In the photo, the background is buildings and there was a gazebo on the left. My main interest in the photo was the sunset playing across the water and how the sharp contrast of the trees in the foreground. I just knew it was good material for a painting.
