Is there any point in offering them for sale?
Let’s be honest landscape photographs have been done to death. The world can be a stunningly beautiful place and nature in its immenseness offers an unending variety of photo opportunities, however someone else with a camera has usually got there first. Unless you are willing to trek for days to find that undiscovered view, it’s all been done before.
Don’t get me wrong there are volumes of great landscape pics out there, you know the ones, the glistening rocks at the beach with the misty long-exposure sea in the few minutes after sunset, the dreamy forest glade with long-exposure waterfall, the golden hour views in the mountains, cities, cornfields, etc. etc. They are technically perfect and wonderful captures of our beautiful world. Some of them are arresting and can take your breath away, but there are so many that are similar and can inspire nothing but indifference. It is so hard to do something different, something that really captures the mind and heart.
Finally, a question for fine art photographers, does anyone hang landscapes on their walls anymore?
