ARTWORTHY, an editorial by this week’s Art Exposed editor, DLKeur

Herding a bunch of artists is a lot like trying to herd cats — impossible. However, cats who smell something delicious…like catnip…quickly perk ears. Eyes alight, whiskers twitch, and beware to them who holds the bait.

Instead of the beckoner holding the cards, the tables are, at once, turned. The beckoner becomes the hunted, and the would-be beckoned, the hunters, swiftly running down their quarry and cornering it. So began this magazine, with me scrambling to get it up and running in time, on time.

…But it worked. The cats did herd…in a manner of speaking. It’s just me caught in the holding pen with them sitting smugly all around the outside with satisfied grins.

Oh, yes. Did I mention the fate of the catnip? Devoured.
